| Hebrew High School of New England (HHNE) is a warm,
welcoming private Jewish high school serving the Springfield, Hartford,
and New Haven communities since 1996. HHNE is committed to the pursuit
of academic excellence in limmudei kodesh (religious studies) and secular
studies in an atmosphere that transmits Torah knowledge and middot
(character development). The school seeks to foster a commitment
to mitzvoth , community, kellal Yisrael, tikkun ha-olam,
and Medinat Yisroel (the State of Israel).
Our goal is to cultivate students who will possess a love of Judaic learning,
a pride in their Jewish identities, and a unique Torah perspective to
confront life's many challenges. Since 1996, the school has educated more
than 170 students, many of whom have gone on to further study in Israel and
have enrolled in prestigious colleges including McGill, MIT, Barnard College,
NYU, Brandeis University, and Yeshiva University.

Heritage
Academy
| The mission of Heritage Academy is to provide a high level Judaic
and General Studies education, enabling students to excel in high
school and college, and to gain the knowledge and experience to become
active participants in their Jewish community at large. |
|
| LYA was founded in 1946, in response to the Greater Springfield Jewish community's need for a quality Jewish day school. In 1999, LYA became the first Jewish day school to be accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges. The more than 120 students that the school serves each year from across the spectrum of Jewish life includes orthodox, conservative, reform and unaffiliated families. The children range in age from 15-month preschoolers to post B'nai Mitzvah eighth graders. Classes are purposefully small, with a teacher-student ratio of 1:10, and a whole child teaching philosophy is employed to ensure that each student's need are met. Emphasis is placed on academic achievement, developing a Jewish identity and building a strong sense of community responsibility. |
